Shibori ribbon is long, narrow strips of natural silk hand pleated and dyed using the traditional Japanese arashi shibori technique. This technique allows the fabric to be dyed in many colours, which can interpenetrate each other and create unique sets. The finished shibori has durable colours, but the pleats are sensitive to getting wet.
Thanks to the pleats, the shibori ribbon can be arranged in convex forms, e.g. using shibori in jewellery using soutache and beading embroidery techniques. Delicate shibori can be an excellent complement to exclusive jewellery, a separate ornament or an element of elegant styling accessories.
The ribbon has no seams.

CAUTION! It is recommended to avoid contact with liquid substances, including water, to avoid damaging the pleats and also to avoid spots (dots, circles) on the fabric after the liquid dries. A small, gentle spraying of the fabric will not damage the pleats. After complete wetting, the pleats straighten out and after drying they will no longer be tightly folded, but will take on a wavy shape.
